Option 1: Hoi An Surrounding (L)
After breakfast, you will depart from the pier located in the old city of Hoi An on a local boat (bac), the only means of transport to sail to the island of Cam Kim. The morning starts with a really interesting activity – sail aboard a nut-shell boat, also called “Thung Chai”, small round boats made of bamboo. They are called this because of their resemblance to an inverted walnut shell. Often used by the local fishermen in the central regions of Vietnam, they can transport up to 5 people.
After a short break, we will take a cycle tour to visit the village of Tra Que. Tra Que is famous for the quality and the flavour of its aromatic herbs. Once there, a local family will demonstrate traditional agricultural techniques where you will be given the opportunity to participate.

Option 2: Cooking Class
This morning enjoy a shared cooking class. Head off to the colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. You will have the opportunity to interact with the local merchants and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson. Enjoy the dishes you cook before transferring to your hotel for leisure. Dinner is at your own accord.

Today we will take the early morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City – formerly known as Saigon. Upon your arrival, travel northwest of Ho Chi Minh City to the town of Cu Chi and explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the most famous battlegrounds of the Vietnam War. The secret tunnel system is 200km long deep inside the earth, and was used for hiding in during combat, also serving as communication and supply routes during the Vietnam War. This late afternoon, enjoy a city tour including Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market.
After breakfast, we travel by road from Ho Chi Minh City to the peaceful countryside in Ben Tre. Embark on a local boat ride on Ben Tre River – one of tributaries of the Mekong River. Stop at brickwork to see how to make brick by hand. Visit the perfume coconut garden and coconut processing workshops located along river canal and enjoy fresh fruit and coconut juice. Continue the trip by boat through criss-crossed with countless canals where they look more narrow to countryside. Walk on peaceful paths to the farmer house to see people weave mats. Take a motor cart (xe loi) or bicycle on shady road, pass by rice fields and vegetable plains discover tropical culture and real living conditions. Enjoy lunch at farmer house on the riverside. In the afternoon, board a rowing boat along water palm canal and then proceed to Ben Tre before returning to Ho Chi Minh City for a farewell dinner this evening.
