Ta Van Local Homestay
Fly to Hanoi via connecting cities. On arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and driver who will bring you to your hotel in Hanoi City to rest up for the tour ahead. Hanoi is over 1000 years old and is currently the capital of Vietnam, as well the commercial, political, and cultural heart of the country.
Depart early from your hotel in Hanoi for a five hour drive to Sapa, a town in the mountainous northwest of Vietnam. Arrive Sapa Town with colourful traditional costumes of Hmong, Dzao, Tay ethnic people. Take a short rest and have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, start trekking to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain then trek to Ta Van village – home to the Dzay ethnic people. This ethnic minority group possesses a rich traditional culture. On arrival in Ta Van Village you will have free time to discover around the village by yourself, before eating dinner with a local family, and staying overnight in a homestay. Trekking distance is about 9 km (6 miles, 4 hours trekking).
Lao Chai
Have breakfast prepared by the host family and start the new day with another fascinating trek. Walk to rice paddies where you have a nice photo session of the amazing surrounding landscapes, a trek to a beautiful waterfall and rattan bridge then take in the panorama view of Giang Ta Chai village – home to Red Dzao people . Trek through Su Pan Village to the main road, where a bus will take you back Sapa town. Check in to the hotel and enjoy free time at leisure to explore Sapa on your own. Stay overnight in Sapa.
