The hotels we use are carefully selected to provide you with a comfortable stay in a relaxing environment. All the hotel we use are three-star, with continental breakfast included. A selection of our preferred hotels in our main destinations is listed below. As the hotels are generally not in the downtown area, we cannot guarantee that there is transportation to the city except for taxis. Please note that hotels will vary depending on group sizes and hence hotel information can only be ascertained within 24 hours prior to check-in.

Take an international flight from Australia to Shanghai and be transferred to your hotel for layover.
In the morning, depart Shanghai for Rome. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, visit the Trastevere area. This neighbourhood is a great introduction to Rome; a stroll in the narrow cobbled streets reveals hidden treasures such as some modest medieval churches, and small shops with the most peculiar of objects or scenes of daily life. Many trattorias (informal Italian eating establishments) and osterias (inns) will be ready to serve local dishes. Other restaurants serving Indian, Chinese and international food can be found in this area. Return to hotel.
Rome
In the morning, take a scenic tour of introduction to ‘The Eternal city’, visiting the Vatican. Vatican City is the centre of Roman Catholicism. Visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the Roman Colosseum, which dates back almost 2,000 years. In the evening, transfer to the Via Cavour area, were you will find restaurants serving a wide variety of international cuisines. Return to hotel.
Coliseum
Leave Rome, heading north, on a route that is graced with beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Florence, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, which provides impressive views of the city. In the evening, take a tour with a local expert through the historic centre city, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum! Enjoy time at leisure to explore further. In the evening, dine at the restaurant of your choice.
Florence
Enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. Arriving in Venice, board a Vapporetto to travel around the canals in the historic centre. With a local guide, visit the marvellous Saint Mark´s Basilica (the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Venice). Afterwards, we visit Murano – a group of islands linked by bridges, and renowned for its glass factories for over 700 years. Enjoy free time at leisure until the evening, then eat dinner in the Mestre area, where you can choose from a variety of restaurants.
Venice
Depart from Venice, travelling to Verona. After transferring to the city centre, take a guided walk in Romeo and Juliet’s city – the city of lovers! Afterwards, continue the journey to Switzerland. Gorgeous lakes and mountains with snow-capped peaks line the route. On arrival in Zurich, enjoy free time in the historic centre next to the lake – Zürichsee – where you will be able to dine at a restaurant of your choice, perhaps sampling some delicious Swiss food!
Zurich
Today, you’ll see breathtaking scenery in the Interlaken region – beautiful Swiss landscapes of high mountains and deep lakes. In Grindelwald, enjoy a coffee before taking the cable car (ticket included) up to Grindelwald First, which offers incredible views of the Eiger’s famed North Face. Walk along the path (approx. 30 minutes) and take the ‘footbridge over the empty’ among the fantastic scenery, before lunch (vegetarian option available). After that, continue to Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. At the end of the day, enjoy free time to stroll the city and find somewhere to dine, before returning to the hotel in Zurich.
Lucerne
Embark on a scenic trip to Bern, capital city of an historical confederation built around a bend in the Aare River, with its medieval architecture preserved in the Old Town. Stroll and breathe in the fresh air. Next, journey to France, enjoying beautiful lake views on the way to Paris.
Bern
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Paris to discover the history, the main boulevards, and the breathtaking monuments of the City of Light, finishing at the Eiffel Tower. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument. Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. If deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different time of day. End the tour with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the city at your leisure. At sunset, transfer to the ‘Quartier Latin’, were you can select from a wide variety of international cuisines, before returning to the hotel.
Eiffel Tower
Today, visit the centre of Paris, in the vicinity of the Louvre Museum, for free time at your leisure. If you wish we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the best-known perfumeries in Paris, or take an optional excursion to EuroDisney.
Louvre Museum
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight via Shanghai.
